About Me

Hello! My name is Kari, and I am the creator, writer, and designer of EastofEmerson.com.

I am an eclectic “small-town midwesterner” who has taken advantage of the many opportunities presented to me by the wonderful people in my life.

I am a proud supporter of sunsets, 4-H, FFA, military families, personal growth, and everything beautiful or writing-related, among many other things. And by proud supporter, I suppose I mean I have been all of these in the past (my sun and moon tattoo rising over the back of my shirt counts as my being a sunset, right?); and so anyone in one of these positions has my full love and support. Also, most any person not in these categories also has my full love and support. Ellen Degeneres, of course, could not have said it better: “We need more kindness, more compassion, more joy, more laughter. I definitely want to contribute to that.

In East of Emerson, I hope to enjoy creativity, share ideas, and provide a place for my writing. So far my brief blogging journey has been exactly that, and if that is all that comes of it, I am content.

So now, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to pop over to my blog. Thank you for coming along with me on this experiment/adventure I call a blog. I hope you enjoy!

Love,
Kari
